Armed Movements Close Their Recruitment Offices in Khartoum

 

Armed struggle movements have closed their recruitment offices in Khartoum State in preparation for their withdrawal from the capital, in compliance with the decisions of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) General Abdel-Fattah al-Burhan to empty Khartoum of armed formations.

 

 

TSC Member and Head of the Supreme Committee for Preparing the Suitable Environment for the Return of Citizens to Khartoum State, Lt. Gen. Ibrahim Jabir, chaired a meeting of the Committee of Security Control and Imposition of State Prestige in Khartoum State, attended by Minister of Defense Lt. Gen. Hassan Kabron and Minister of Interior Lt. Gen. Babiker Samra.

 

 

The meeting heard reports from the heads of the relevant committees; the Committee for Evacuating the Capital from Military Formations and Joint Forces and Arms Collection, the Central Chamber Committee, the Committee for Evacuating the State from Foreigners and Refugees, the Committee for the Removal of Informal Housing and the Media Committee.

 

 

The heads of the committees presented reports on the work of the committees during the past period.

 

 

The Chairman of the Committee for Evacuating the Capital from Military Formations presented the committee’s report, in which he explained that the commanders of the armed struggle movements had been informed of the regulations in place to empty the capital of all military manifestations, in implementation of the directives of TSC President. He stated that the decision had been met with great response from the commanders of those movements, who had immediately begun implementing the decision. He pointed out that the committee had begun to close the recruitment offices in the state.
