Ardol: Every kilometer in Sudan contains gold

The former General Manager of the Mineral Resources Company, Mubarak Ardol, and head of the Democratic Rally for Justice, has revealed that every kilometer of Sudanese land contains gold.

Sudan’s area, following the secession of South Sudan, is approximately 1,886,000 square kilometers.

During an interview with the Sudanese Echoes platform, Ardol confirmed that gold is one of the causes of the war in Sudan. He denied appointing members of his ethnicity to the Mineral Resources Company.

Ardol also denied accusations of corruption while heading the largest company responsible for monitoring gold and its producing companies.

He described all the complaints filed against him during the tenure of former Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok as malicious.

In the same context, Mubarak Ardol said that foreign regional interventions shaped the political landscape after the success of the December revolution.

Ardol pointed to the participation of segments of Islamists in the revolution. He revealed that National Congress Party leader Ahmed Haroun intended to disperse the revolutionaries’ sit-in in front of the General Command a day before the fall of the Salvation Government. However, he was arrested in front of the home of National Umma Party leader Sadiq al-Mahdi.

Ardol attributed the failure of the revolutionary government to its failure to achieve the slogans of freedom, peace, and justice, stating that the Freedom and Change Alliance wanted to remove the Salvation Government and take its place.

Ardol accused the Empowerment Removal Committee of causing the failure of the revolutionary government by acting vindictively against its opponents without regard for the law.

He affirmed that Imam Sadiq al-Mahdi attacked the committee and demanded that it implement the law.

Ardol pointed out that Hamdok’s government included unqualified cadres, stating that the only qualified cadres in Sudan are Islamists and leftists.

In a parallel context, Ardol held regional parties and the Freedom and Change Alliance responsible for igniting the war in Sudan by embellishing Hemeidti’s coup on April 15, 2023. Ardol disclosed the secrets of a Western ambassador to him, stating that on Saturday—the day of the coup—Al-Burhan and Kabashi would be handcuffed.
