An Outstanding South Sudanese Field Commander of Al-Dagalo Mercenaries Assassinated

On Monday evening, the city of Al-Mujlad, West Kordofan State, witnessed a mysterious assassination incident, claiming the life of one of the most prominent field commanders of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), Maj. Gen. Kuol Wishar, a South Sudanese national. This represents a dangerous development in the already tense security situation in the region.

According to field sources, the assassination occurred through direct gunfire by unknown assailants who targeted Maj. Gen. Kuol while he was at a location near the main market in Al-Mujlad.

The assailants killed him instantly before fleeing to a whereabout.

Maj. Gen. Kuol is a high-ranking field commander within the RSF and has played a major role in military operations carried out by the militia in several areas of the country, particularly in Kordofan and Darfur states.

Information indicates that he commands an active military unit in the western region and maintains strong ties with the militia’s top commanders.
