Aliens arrested for smuggling gold to UAE

The River Nile State Police foiled the largest gold smuggling operation from mining sites in the state to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

 

The police seized 102 kilos of gold that were on their way to be smuggled and arrested the professional gang in smuggling operations consisting of a number of foreign and local individuals.

 

The police said that the gang is active in mining sites and gold sales sites to collect the largest amount of gold and then embark on a smuggling plan to a number of countries, including the Emirates, as part of a plan to steal the country’s wealth and sabotage the national economy.

 

The River Nile Police confirmed that it will remain a watchful eye and a strong hand to thwart all enemy plans, especially in the economic aspect, such as smuggling strategic goods, money laundering, currency counterfeiting, money speculation, and smuggling precious minerals.
