A National Bloc leader Al-Tom Hajo downplayed the United Arab Emirates (UAE) militia’s drone attacks on the administrative capital, Portsudan.

While he said they were expected and not worrisome, he described them as “a last card in hand”.

In an interview with (Sudanese Echoes) – published in the inner pages – Hajo said that Sudan is fighting an existential battle.

He advised state leaderships to abandon bickering and greed, stressing the need not to raise their voices above the battle until they are able to devote themselves to resolving the battle. He continued, “Any quarrel or disagreement during this battle gives the enemy a card and space.”

Hajo expressed reservations about calls for a change of government. He said that he believes it is safer not to change the combat personnel during the battle, as the priority is to win the battle.
