Al-Ta’aishi is the most prominent candidate for Janjaweed government’s prime minister

The Sudan Foundation Alliance (Ta’asis), the political front of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia, has formed a high committee to receive coalition leaderships arriving in Nyala, as the date for announcing the parallel government approaches.

Sources told Darfur 24 that the high committee includes the alliance’s spokesman, Alaa Eldin Nugud, the head of the militia’s so-called civil administration, Al-Nazir Younis, and the head of the militia’s advisory council, Hudhayfah Abu Nuba.

The sources revealed that the date for the formation of the parallel government is approaching, indicating that three individuals have been nominated for the position of prime minister, including Hudhayfah Abu Nuba and Mohammed Hassan Al-Ta’aishi.

Other sources said that the position of governor of Darfur could be filled by the head of the Supreme Council for Civilian Administration, Al-Nazir Younis, or by one of the leaderships of the Revolutionary Front coalition.

In early July, the Ta’asis coalition announced the formation of a 31-member leadership body headed by Rapid Support Forces Commander Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, with Abdel-Aziz Adam Al-Hilu chosen as vice president.
