Al-Dagalo appeals for Al-Hilu to rescue their forces in El-Fashir… But he is stalling.

Relations between the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia and the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North militia, led by Abdel Aziz Al-Hilu, have become increasingly tense following the latter’s refusal to provide Al-Dagalo with troops to seize El-Fashir.
Journalist Abdel-Majid Abdel-Hamid has revealed, in a Facebook post, the details of a phone call between the militia’s second-in-command, Abdel-Rahim Dagalo, and the Head of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement, Abdel-Aziz Al-Hilu.
Abdel-Hamid explained that the call, which was leaked, sparked widespread reactions within the ranks of Al-Hilu’s militia.
The leaked call, in which Dagalo appealed to Al-Hilu, who in turn requested a delay to consult with the commandership of the Sudan People’s Liberation Army (SPLA), revealed the difficulties facing the militia in El-Fashir.
Abdel-Hamid confirmed that the majority of SPLA commanders have reservations about the new alliance between the RSF and the SPLA. He disclosed that Al-Hilu’s intelligence service had reservations and rejected an invitation extended by Abdel-Rahim to Al-Hilu to visit Nyala.
Those close to Al-Hilu warned against the visit, saying it was a potentially risky endeavor, given that Nyala was on a hot tin roof.
Abdel-Hamid explained that the criminal Abdel-Rahim leaked the call and appeared frustrated with Al-Hilu’s reluctance to send his forces to rescue the militia in El-Fashir.
Abdel-Rahim, according to those close to him, stated, “This person is no good and no benefit can be expected from him. We paid him millions of dollars, and he doesn’t want to help us until he returns to his officers.”
Dagalo accused Al-Hilu of leaking the news of the Nyala visit to nip it in the bud. It should have been announced after a brief visit, with a focus on image and media coverage.
The Darfur 24 website, which specializes in Darfur affairs, reported more than 10 days ago that Al-Hilu was planning a visit to Nyala to inaugurate the parallel government.
