Al-Burhan: We rebuff NCP holding of Shura Conference… We are not in need of conflicts
President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, called on the political forces to unite and stand as one entity and support the march of the Dignity War, stressing the continuation of the battle until the elimination of the rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia and the end of the rebellion.
Al-Burhan criticized, while addressing the opening session of the First Economic Conference in Portsudan Tuesday, what is being circulated about the recent movement of the National Congress Party (NCP) and talking about holding a Shura Conference and activities, announcing the categorical rejection of all political activity in light of the current situation under which the country fighting the Dignity War. He said that the young fighters in the fields now are Sudanese who have a cause and do not follow a person.
TSC President added, “We do not need conflicts or any dispersion now. We have one goal that we want to move towards it unified, which is to defeat the rebels and eliminate them, after that, we can sit down for political matters,” stressing openness to everyone.
He said, “We must end the war first, and the rebels must leave the areas they occupy and gather in areas that are agreed upon, and the lives of citizens must return to normal, and then we will turn to the political issue.” He added, “We have no objection, as we previously agreed, to this transitional period being ruled by a government of civilian competencies of independents around whom all Sudanese gather,” indicating that it is too early to proceed on both security and political tracks together, calling for Sudanese-Sudanese dialogue to lead the country to safety.
TSC President called for not paying attention to the voices of the humiliated, skeptics and side battles, demanding everyone to move towards eliminating the rebel militia.
Al-Burhan praised those in charge of the conference and all those seeking to find solutions that alleviate the suffering of citizens.
