Al-Burhan Receives Invitation from Russian President to take part in Russia-Arab Summit

Port Sudan, May 20, 2025 (SUNA) – President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, has received an official invitation from Russian President Vladimir Putin to participate in the Russia-Arab Summit.

This came during his meeting on Tuesday with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Sudan, Andrey Chernov, who handed him over the invitation.

The meeting touched on aspects of joint cooperation between Sudan and Russia, the progress of bilateral relations between the two countries, and ways to boost and strengthen them further, in addition to issues of mutual interest and developments in Sudan.
