Aggar urges Implementation of Al-Gadarif Water Project

Vice-President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Commander Malik Aggar, met on Sunday with the Director of the Dams Implementation Unit, Engineer Al-Harith Mustafa Abdel-Rahman.

The meeting addressed the issue of Al-Gadarif Water Project and the ongoing efforts to solve it.

The Director of the Dams Implementation Unit pointed out, in statements to the press, to the existence of understandings with the Chinese contractor regarding the acceleration of the implementation of the project, starting that the meeting also touched on the commitment of the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning to schedule the payment of the arrears of the Chinese company. He said that the TSC Vice-President confirmed the state’s commitment to support Al-Gadarif State Water Project within the framework of state’s concern with the basic needs of the citizens.
