After a Bloody Day, RSF Drones Bomb El-Fashir Neighborhoods

Military sources told Al Jazeera that the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) launched drone strikes on several neighborhoods in El-Fashir, the capital of North Darfur State, using what were described as “strategic drones,” following a bloody day that left more than 70 people dead.

The sources reported plumes of smoke rising from Al-Daraja Al-Oula neighborhood in the western part of the city.

They added that intermittent clashes took place late last night between the army and the militia in southern, eastern, and northern parts of El-Fashir.

On Friday, in what was described as the deadliest attack since the outbreak of the war in Sudan, an RSF drone strike killed dozens of civilians as they performed dawn prayers inside a mosque in Al-Daraja Al-Oula neighborhood.
