A container collapse causes blackouts in two states in Sudan… Electricity Company apologizes

The Media Coordination Council of the Sudan Electricity Company has issued a statement regarding the power outage in River Nile and Red Sea states, explaining the causes of the outage and the efforts and solutions underway to address it.

The council revealed that the collapse of a container protecting the transformer station was the cause of the outage due to strong storms. This caused partial damage to the transformers that supplied the power.

The Electricity Company apologized to the citizens in the affected states.
