The widely circulated footage shows Sudanese army soldiers and officers confirming their advance on the ground and their deployment inside the area, amid enthusiastic chants and slogans indicating the recapture of the military position.
Khor Waral holds considerable geographical and military significance in the state, as it serves as a key link between several localities and conflict hotspots across the South Kordofan State.
