50 Militia Officers and Soldiers Eliminated over Leaking Movements

Accusations within the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia of leaking information to the army have resulted in the elimination of around 50 of its officers and soldiers.

Journalist specializing in Darfur affairs Abdel-Majid Abdel-Hamid revealed in a Facebook post new developments within the militia, affirming that the collapse is continuing after it was forced to transfer its mercenaries from Blue Nile to Nyala to confront the repercussions of repeated defeats in the deserts and sands of Kordofan.

He said the militia mobilized a convoy of vehicles and combat equipment, along with foreign mercenaries and remnants of elements from Libya, but withdrew from entering Darfur following sharp disputes within its ranks, which escalated to the elimination of 50 of its officers and soldiers after accusations of leaking information about the movement.

He pointed out that the militia is facing severe difficulties in mobilizing tribes and social groups, prompting it to recruit mercenaries from Niger and Chad, amid growing reluctance due to successive losses and the return of large numbers of fighters with serious injuries.

Abdel-Hamid added that militia commander Abdel-Rahim Dagalo was forced, under heavy security, to move from Nyala to West Kordofan in a final attempt to prevent members of the Messeiriya from withdrawing from the rebellion, particularly following the events at Al-Na’am Market, which sparked anger among local residents.
