Kadugli Gates “Resilient”: Army Crushes Militia in “Al-Kuweik”

A source from the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) reported that the military successfully repelled an attack by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia on Al-Kuweik area, located 20 kilometers west of Kadugli in South Kordofan State.

The source told Ultra Sudan that the clashes between the SAF and the RSF militia were decisively won by the army on Monday, noting that the RSF had been attempting to advance into Al-Kuweik area.

Yesterday, Sunday, 1 March, the RSF launched an attack on Ai-Dalang City in South Kordofan. Pro-army social media platforms later reported that the attack was successfully repelled and normal life was restored in the city.

Subsequently, the RSF militia cut the road linking Habila and Al-Dalang to the east of the city, a development that could affect the situation in South Kordofan in the coming period and may signal a resumption of intensified battles.

Al-Kuweik is considered a strategically pivotal town in South Kordofan, where the army has established advanced defenses protecting Kadugli over the past months. RSF forces failed to breach these defenses throughout December 2025 and January 2026, despite launching near-daily assaults on the area.
