Wali of Khartoum State Appeals to Citizens to Report “Dormant Cells”
Khartoum, December 21, 2025 (SUNA) – Wali of Khartoum State, Ahmed Osman Hamza, has called on citizens to report the presence of dormant cells and to help locate stolen property by cooperating with various security agencies to strengthen community security.
Sudanese General Intelligence Service (GIS) Director General, General Ahmed Ibrahim Mufaddal, had earlier warned that the threat from sleeper cells and collaborators with the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) remains, stressing the need for vigilance and caution.
The Wali also oversaw the seizure of a major criminal network involved in counterfeiting currency and official documents. The operation was carried out by the Federal Operations Investigation Directorate, accompanied by Police Director General, General Amir Abdel-Monem.
Wali Ahmed Osman Hamza praised the high capabilities of security agencies in confronting all threats that disrupt citizens’ lives, particularly in areas with fragile security. He emphasized that operations are carried out with firmness and professionalism.
“The efforts of the police in curbing crime send a strong message to anyone who doubts their ability to fully maintain security and stability during the coming period,” the Wali said.
