Talks Between Al-Sisi and Haftar on the Sudan War
Egypt and Libya affirmed that Sudan’s stability is closely linked to their national security, while the two countries agreed on the importance of intensifying international and regional efforts to reach a peaceful settlement that preserves Sudan’s stability, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi on Monday received Khalifa Haftar, the Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan National Army.
The official spokesperson stated that the meeting also addressed developments in the regional situation of mutual concern, and the challenges facing the two countries, particularly the developments in Sudan.
There was agreement on the importance of intensifying international and regional efforts to reach a peaceful settlement that preserves Sudan’s stability, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
It was also affirmed in this regard that Sudan’s stability is closely linked to the national security of both Egypt and Libya.
