Saudi Arabia, Sudan Hold Talks to Establish a Joint Coordination Council

The Saudi Cabinet, in its session chaired by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, issued a decision authorizing the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, or his representative, to hold discussions with the Sudanese side regarding the establishment of the Saudi-Sudanese Coordination Council and to sign the founding agreement.
The decision came as part of the Kingdom’s efforts to strengthen bilateral cooperation with Sudan and support opportunities for joint investment that contribute to achieving economic development in both countries.
During his recent visit to Riyadh, Sudanese Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris announced the launch of more than 100 strategic partnership projects with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with a total value exceeding $100 billion. The projects cover various sectors including energy, agriculture, infrastructure, and sustainable development.
