RSF Member Detonates Grenade, Killing Four in Nyala

Eyewitnesses in Nyala, the capital of South Darfur State, reported that four people were killed and several others injured on Saturday evening when a hand grenade exploded in one of the city’s peripheral markets.

Sources told Darfur24 that a member of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), identified as “Dreidim”, detonated the grenade during a quarrel with a young man at the First Block Market in the southern part of the city.

The explosion killed four people instantly, including the RSF soldier himself, while the injured were taken to nearby health centers for treatment.

Other sources indicated that the soldier was among those previously wounded in recent battles.

This incident marks the third grenade explosion involving RSF personnel in Nyala.
