70,000 Aliens Registered in Khartoum; Government Plans to Repatriate 38,000

 

The Official Spokesperson for the Police Forces and Head of the Media Committee for Security Enforcement in Khartoum State, Brigadier General (Police) Fath-Al-Rahman Mohamed Al-Toum, reviewed the efforts of the specialized subcommittees under the Higher Committee.

 

 

 

He revealed that, in coordination with the Security Efforts Committee of Khartoum State, a ban was imposed on the use of motorcycles within the state, along with restrictions on supplying them with fuel.

 

 

Joint patrol forces have seized 3,000 violating motorcycles.

 

 

The Committee for Clearing the Capital of Refugees and Irregular Foreign Presence has documented 70,000 foreigners residing in Khartoum State.

 

 

According to Brigadier Al-Toum, 38,000 will be voluntarily repatriated to their home countries, while refugees will be relocated to camps outside urban areas that are equipped to receive them. So far, 3,700 foreigners have already been deported.

 

 

Meanwhile, the Committee for Vehicle Recovery and Removal of War Debris has collected 417 vehicles in Bahri Locality. Their ownership will be determined by the General Traffic Directorate before being officially released to their rightful owners under legal and procedural regulations.

 

 

The Committee for Removing Informal Settlements continues its work after identifying 72 clusters of irregular housing across the state, of which 36 have already been dismantled, including Souq Sitta in Al-Haj Yousif and Shambat port area.

 

 

The police spokesperson called on citizens to fully cooperate with security authorities by promptly reporting any negative phenomena through the emergency number 999.
