Khartoum State Government Sets School Return Date

A meeting of the Khartoum State Government, chaired by Khartoum State Wali (governor) Ahmed Osman Hamza, approved the 2024-2025 academic calendar, presented by the Director of the Ministry of Education, Garib Allah Mohammed.

Teachers’ attendance at schools begins on Sunday, August 24, to help prepare the school environment and address shortcomings.

The calendar set September 7 as the kick-off date for the final classes of primary, intermediate, and secondary schools.

Student registration continues in the various classes to determine the actual need for seating, textbooks, classrooms, and restrooms. The situation will be assessed based on the number of registered students.

The council granted the Ministry of Education one week to evaluate and determine the school date for the remaining classes.
