Clues to Lead to the perpetrators involved in the armed attack on a police station in the Northern State
The Northern State government has acknowledged the occurrence of an armed attack on Al-Ghadar Police Station.
While condemning the attack in the strongest terms, it considered it a blatant targeting of law enforcement institutions and a destabilization of the security of citizens and the stability of the state.
The official Spokesman for the Northern State government, Al-Bagir Okasha Osman, revealed in a statement new details about the incident. He indicated that the armed group neutralized the personnel working at Al-Ghadar Police Station, resulting in the death of the police vehicle driver, the injury of three members of the force, and the disabling of the police vehicle used for duty.
The spokesman’s statement indicated that the same armed group headed to the Agricultural Bank and attempted to rob the bank’s vault hours before the attack. However, the attempt failed, thanks to the strict security features of the bank vault, which prevented the attackers from achieving their criminal goal.
The Northern State government expressed its deep regret over the incident and confirmed that the police headquarters is closely monitoring the investigation.
The state government disclosed that important leads have been identified that will lead to the perpetrators. Details will be announced once legal procedures and investigations are completed.
The state government urged citizens to be accurate, avoid swayed by rumors and unreliable information, and rely on official statements issued by the concerned parties.
