Sudan’s Prime Minister to Hold an Inclusive Meeting with Political Parties and Movements on the interim Period’s Future

Prime Minister Kamil Idris has announced his intention to hold a comprehensive meeting soon with various political and societal forces to conduct a transparent, frank, and responsible consultations on the future of the transitional period and seek consensus on national visions that contribute to strengthening unity and cohesion of the domestic front.
The Prime Minister’s Office stated, according to a press release, that the Prime Minister is keen to promote the spirit of national dialogue and consolidate the principles of transparency and consensus among the components of the Sudanese political landscape. This is in light of current political developments and the contacts of several political forces with him.
The Prime Minister’s Office stated that the country is going through a critical phase that requires prioritizing the supreme national interest over narrow considerations and summoning a sense of responsibility and impartiality for the sake of the nation. Accordingly, the Prime Minister renews his call to all political forces to pursue constructive dialogue and joint action to achieve the aspirations of the Sudanese people for peace, stability, and democracy, ending with a Sudan that embraces all, protects the dignity of its people, and preserves its national unity.
