Sudan’s inflation rate drops in May

Sudan’s Central Bureau of Statistics reported that the inflation rate in May 2025 decreased by 13% compared to April.

The annual inflation rate is measured by the change in the general price level for the current month compared to its counterpart the previous year, which means measuring price changes over an entire year.

The Central Bureau of Statistics said, in a statement, that “the rate of change in the general price level – inflation – in May 2025 increased by 142.82% compared to its counterpart the previous year.”
