SAF Raids Kill UAE and Colombian Officers, Destroy Militia Training Camps

Sudanese Armed Forces drones resumed bombing strategic Rapid Support Forces (RSF) positions in the city of Nyala.

While sources confirmed the deaths of a large number of Colombians and United Arab Emirates (UAE) officers, SAF destroyed a militia training camp inside the city.

For weeks, the Sudanese army resumed its air operations in the Darfur region, where drones continued to target Rapid Support Forces positions in Nyala, which has been transformed into a military and political command center for the forces.

Local sources reported that “Sudanese army drones bombed Nyala Airport and nearby sites at dawn on Friday.”

Witnesses reported hearing five loud explosions and rising flames from a site near the international airport.

Witnesses reported that army fighter jets resumed their attacks in the evening, targeting various locations in Nyala, where at least three loud explosions were heard in the center, south, and east of the city.

A witness said he saw ambulances transporting large numbers of wounded and dead RSF personnel who had been targeted at Nyala University to a Turkish hospital.

The militia has converted a number of civilian institutions in Nyala, including the Nyala University campus, into training centers for fighters, including drone training, according to military sources.

The militia has used Nyala Airport, after it was re-opened, to smuggle gold produced from the Singu and Radom mines in South Darfur, to evacuate wounded from military operations abroad, and to transport its commanders.
