Portsudan Airport Resumes Operations Hours After Emergency Closure

The Civil Aviation Authority issued, on Tuesday evening, a Notice of Airmen (NOTAM) announcing the resumption of flights to and from Portsudan International Airport, marking the return to normal flight operations.

The authority called on passengers to contact their airline reservation offices to modify or reschedule their flights that may have been affected by the suspension of operations at the airport.

The authorities were forced to close Portdudan Airport on Tuesday morning after it was targeted by a drone launched by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia, resulting in a fire in a fuel depot inside the airport.

The official spokesperson for the Civil Aviation Authority stated that the airport had returned to normal operations and that all security measures had been extensively reinforced to ensure the safety of passengers and flight operations.
