Foreign Minister: Returning to Jeddah Forum as a Negotiation Path Possible

Foreign Minister Ali Youssef said that returning to the Jeddah Forum as a negotiation path is possible, but not to implement what was agreed upon on May 11, 2023.
He pointed out, in statements to Al Jazeera Mubasher, that the war is progressing positively, with the army on the verge of taking control of Khartoum.
The Minister added that these developments impose new conditions for any negotiations that may take place.
Regarding the position on Nairobi, the minister said that relations with Kenya are tense, but that severing ties is not currently on the table.
Ambassador Youssef denied that Egypt is providing any military support to the Sudanese army, but indicated that it is the country that stands most closely with Sudan and the Sudanese people.
Regarding relations with Tehran, Youssef revealed that they have agreed to continue normal relations with Iran, noting that they are aware of the several problems associated with this cooperation.
