Ban on importing used cars in Sudan lifted, expectations of a price drop

The Prime Minister has issued a decision lifting the ban on importing cars that do not meet the model requirements. The decision stipulated that all models of saloon cars or those used for shipping and transportation purposes are allowed to be imported without being bound by a specific age for the car, while leaving the determination of appropriate fines to the customs forces to avoid price increases.

The prices of secondhand cars in Sudan, particularly in the eastern and northern states and the Omdurman, have witnessed a significant increase. Experts expected a reduction in car prices in Sudan.
