Russia: We are able to protect our investments in Sudan

Minister of Energy and Oil Mohi-Eddin Naeem affirmed the ministry’s readiness to receive the delegation of Russian companies that are expected to visit Sudan in two batches at the end of this year and the beginning of next year.

 

 

The minister met the Russian ambassador to Sudan in his office today and discussed a number of sectors in which Russia intends to invest in Sudan, including oil, gas and electricity.

 

The Minister of Energy and Oil asserted that Sudan has reached advanced understandings with Russia in the field of oil and electricity and prefers to work with major countries such as Russia and China through their giant companies in the fields of energy and oil in safe areas at the present time.

 

For his part, the Russian ambassador said that the giant companies have the ability to protect their investments, revealing the visit of a delegation of Russian companies led by the head of the Russian-Sudanese government ministerial committee, stressing that he will work to arrange the visit at a high level. He stressed that Russia has expertise houses that are doing what is required step by step to develop the Sudanese economy in general, such as electricity, oil, railways, building factories, roads, ports and infrastructure in general.
