Cairo: Marwan Al-Rayah
The Head of the Shura Council of the National Congress Party (NCP), Dr. Osman Mohamed Youssef Kibir, has disclosed exciting information about the differences within the party following a secret meeting of the Shura Council.
Kabir settled, during an interview with (Sudanese Echoes) published on the internal pages – the controversy over the position of the party’s deputy chairman by saying, “Ahmed Haroun is the deputy chairman of the party according to the decisions of the General Conference.”
Kibir denied the participation of any of the military or Omar Al-Bashir in the discussion during the secret Shura Council meeting, asserting that everything circulated in the media is false. He mocked the attempts to exclude the NCP by dissolving the party and banning its activities. He said “Our conviction in the party is that our party is like a shadow that cannot be buried, and “No matter how much you dig for the shadow, you will not be able to bury it,” he continued.
In the same context, Kabir painted a bleak picture of what is happening in the city of El-Fashir, explaining that the plot supported by the United Arab Emirates (UAE), through the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia, is to separate Darfur and recolonize the country again. He said that the UAE wants to downfall El-Fashir to become a (scaffold) to seize all of Sudan after the failure to seize power and flare up war. He added, “We have removed 4 senior members of the party for their participation and support for the militia. We refrain from mentioning their names, as they are known.”
