Airdrop of humanitarian aid to Al-Hilu areas

 

The governments of Sudan and South Sudan signed، in Juba, a renewable accord extending the period of permission to deliver humanitarian aid from South Sudan to South Kordofan, starting from this December and end on February 2, 2025.

 

It was agreed that the aid operation would be carried out by airdrop in the areas of (Julud and Kaunaro), as well as the unloading of aid at Kadugli Airport to reach Kadugli and Dilling by land trucks. The aid includes food and medicine.

The Director of Human and Financial Resources at the Humanitarian Aid Commission, Head of the Technical Team, Al-Sadiq Adam Ibrahim, signed on behalf of the government of Sudan, whereas the representative of the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs in South Sudan, James, signed on his government side, as did the representative of the implementing partner, Smartin Purse Organization.

 

The signing ceremony, at the Crown Hotel, was attended by the technical team of the Humanitarian Aid Commission (HAC), which includes a representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the relevant authorities, members of the Sudanese Embassy, ​​representatives of Smartin Purse Organization, and a representative of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM), Abdel-Aziz Al-Hilu faction.
