Dr. Gebreil Ibrahim to (Deby): All Chadian governments change from Sudan
The head of the Justice and Equality Movement (JEM), Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Gebreil Ibrahim, advised Chadian President Mohamed Deby to stay away from supporting the militia, reminding him that all Chadian governments since independence change from Sudan, “A mature person can read that with a critical eye.” He advised him.
Gebreil said, in an interview with (Sudanese Echoes) – to be published tomorrow – that Mohamed Deby’s moves to support the militia are due to a lack of experience. He suggested that there were Emirati and French promises and pledges to protect him if he continued on this path. He confirmed their conversation with Deby about washing his hands of the movements, but he did not listen to them.
In the same context, Gebreil admitted the inability, disintegration and fragmentation of the Sudanese political forces supporting the army, explaining that their contributions are not of the required size, attributing this to the preoccupation with the military issue in the first place. Gebreil justified the strength of the voice of the parties supporting the militia because they are backed by large support from external forces to be a political front for the rebellion to legitimize it, and he said: “They are generously being paid for. So, they move from hotel to hotel and from conference to conference.” Gebreil urged abandoning reliance on external trips, stressing that the real breakthrough comes with military victory, asserting that the world does not believe in anything but force. He continued: “If we win, we will find the world with us,”, demonstrating this with the recent victories of the army, which caused the rate of visits by international community officials, envoys, delegates and ministers to increase, “If you do not win, no one sees you. The key factor is dependent on change on the ground” he added.
Meanwhile, Gebriel said that the government’s visits to China and Russia worry, strain and anger the Americans. “We are sending them a message that says, ‘You are not the end of the world.'” he added.
