Oil Minister: Sudan begins paying off China’s debts

Minister of Oil and Energy Mohi-Eddin Naeem Mohamed announced that the government has dispensed with Al-Gaili refinery following arrangements made by the ministry.

While denying that the main body of the refinery was sabotaged, he said that if it is liberated, it can be used for additional roles.

The minister revealed, in an interview with (Sudanese Echoes), that Sudan has begun paying off its debts to China and pledged to complete the remaining payments.

The minister attributed the stability of fuel prices to the state’s exit from the purchasing process and leaving the import process to private companies, adding that the ministry’s role is the control and organization.

Minister of Energy and Oil revealed the completion of arrangements for pumping southern oil, confirming that the work is underway on the other side to pump it as soon as possible.
