Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Assistant Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lt. Gen. Yassir Al-Atta, revealed tidings and imminent victories on all fronts of the outlaw Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia fighting and on all theaters of operations in the coming days. He stressed that the Sudanese people will see what pleases them, adding that the Sudanese Armed Forces are now fully prepared to finish off the rebel RSF militia and are in their best condition in terms of armament, morale and surrounding the enemy.
Gen. Al-Atta told (Sudanese Echoes) that the size of the Armed Forces and other regular forces at the beginning of the coup aggression on April 15, 2023 was only about “37,000” soldiers, while the rebel RSF militia forces were “120,000” and worked continuously to bring and deploy them inside the capital until the number rose to 160,000 elements.
Gen. Al-Atta confirmed that the outlaw RSF militia exploited the advantages granted to it by Al-Bashir’s regime and the circumstances in which it was used to confront the rebellion to prepare itself for a coup and the kidnapping of the state. TSC Member Al-Atta revealed that there were various indicators showed that Hemeidti had a wild ambition to govern Sudan and had knocked on several doors and paths for that, adding that Hemeidti had dreamed of that despite not having any capabilities or qualifications to rule the country.
Assistant Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Gen. Al-Atta disclosed, for the first time, that the insurgent RSF militia attempted to pull off a coup against the rule of former President Omar al-Bashir. He said that Western and regional intelligence circles discovered Hemeidti’s greed for power and pursued to whitewash his record so that he would be the ruler of Sudan.
Gen. Al-Atta hinted that American intentions were obvious that they had been going against the unity of Sudan for many years, citing the repeated statements of former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, who said: “The fate of the Sudanese state is to be divided into three countries: the north, the east and Darfur.”
