My Family Under the Influence of the “Al-Insirafi” Speech!

The Face of Truth

By: Ibrahim Shglawi

There is no doubt that media outlets, whether newspapers, satellite channels, radio stations, or social media, play a significant role in shaping public opinion, especially during wars and international conflicts. Media is not only a tool for conveying events but also an effective instrument in managing war and raising awareness of threats and dangers.

Yesterday, when we gathered as a family to discuss the ongoing events in our country, the need to announce a wartime government to confront the challenges of the current stage, and to put an end to the political blackmail practiced by some party leaders against the army, I was surprised by my children’s comments. They described my words as resembling the ideas of “Al-Insirafi,” who has become their role model and source of convictions.

I had heard a lot about this young Sudanese man known as “Al-Insirafi,” who appears live on Facebook. This man left his mark during the period of change after the fall of Al-Bashir’s regime in 2019, which was followed by a state of chaos in the country, leading us to the current war. I never imagined that his influence would reach the minds of my children, inspiring them and raising questions about my stance on the war and support for the Sudanese Armed Forces.

As a university professor, I constantly emphasize to my students the importance of maintaining the army’s role as a guarantor of the nation’s unity, away from political conflicts. I believe the national army must stay removed from these conflicts, as it serves as the foundation of the country’s unity and social fabric. For this reason, it should be kept out of the internal conflicts between political parties, which may destabilize the country and push it toward zero-sum conflicts. However, my children’s comments left me wondering if this concept was outdated or misaligned with the current perspectives of the youth.

I decided to listen to some of Al-Insirafi’s speeches and observe his impact on public opinion carefully. It didn’t take long to realize that this young man has a unique approach to influencing and shaping public opinion, relying on vocal charisma and perhaps the emotions of the audience toward the importance of restoring security and peace. He appeared skilled in managing the media side of the conflict.

He is distinguished by his ability to expose the plans of the Rapid Support Forces and their supporters, who aim to rule the country without electoral legitimacy, in addition to increasing people’s awareness of national issues and the importance of supporting the army. He used his voice and words in a captivating way, with an element of simplicity and sometimes even a colloquial tone, to support the army and encourage popular resistance, delivering an unpolished but effective message.

Honestly, I must admit, and perhaps others would agree, that Al-Insirafi’s impact on public opinion has exceeded all expectations. After speaking to several friends and individuals outside my family, in places where I run errands, I noticed he has shifted the media balance in favor of the army. He achieved this by revealing the nature of the plan that ignited the war, its connection to political conflicts, and the blackmail practiced by some parties, who falsely claim to represent the Sudanese people.

Al-Insirafi managed to inspire everyone to hold onto their values and principles, defending the country against regional and international foes lying in wait. This young man has proven himself worthy of praise and appreciation, and he is a phenomenon that deserves study and evaluation. His efforts should continue to ignite passion for restoring security and achieving peace, driving people to build a better future for Sudan.

As is well known, the media plays a crucial role in directing public opinion and shaping awareness. Therefore, everyone must recognize the role of media in all its direct and indirect forms. Especially now, as we welcome a person of influence and charisma in this field, my friend, Minister Khalid Al-Ayser, who assumed the media portfolio just two days ago. As we all know, he is among the prominent figures who have defended our country with competence and dedication during the war for dignity.

He has consistently affirmed his support for the army, knowing that a nation without an army cannot sustain life or existence. We extend our best wishes for his success, as the Sudanese people expect much from him in guiding the media machine toward positive change within society and communicating Sudan’s message to the region and the world. The man is an expert in media and communication diplomacy.

It is our duty to support individuals who work toward achieving our national unity, directing public opinion toward building, development, and restoring security and peace. Therefore, people like Al-Insirafi should receive our appreciation and respect. I call on all members of Sudanese society to support Al-Insirafi, as I encourage him to remain committed to a national discourse that unites people, builds the future, and moves beyond zero-sum conflicts. The face of truth compels us to continue encouraging each other to build a bright future for Sudan, making it a prosperous country where people live in awareness, peace, and prosperity.

Stay well and healthy.
