63 Sudanese Die… Hunger Annihilates Civilians in El-Fashir

A source in the Sudanese Ministry of Health has disclosed on Sunday that 63 civilians have died within a week due to hunger (malnutrition) in El-Fashir, a city besieged by the rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia for more than a year.

The source explained that the number of people who died from malnutrition in El-Fashir between August 3 and 10 reached 63, most of them women and children. He explained that this death toll only includes those who were able to reach hospitals.

The source indicated that many are unable to reach hospitals due to violence, explaining that if a person dies at home, will be buried there immediately.
