14 Christians wounded in militia attack on Christ Church in Al-Gezira State
The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia launched an attack on a church affiliated with the Sudanese Church of Christ in the city of Al-Hasahisa in Al-Gezira State, which resulted in the injury of 14 worshipers, including Mina Youssef (18 years old), whose condition was described as critical.
The church secretary, Youssef Suleiman, told Morning Star that the attack took place on Monday morning, December 30, while 177 people were gathered to pray and fast.
The militia stormed the building, assaulted the worshipers, and destroyed the church furniture, claiming that they supported the Sudanese Armed Forces.
Suleiman pointed out that the militia forces prevented Christians from leaving the area despite their repeated attempts to flee. He added that the humanitarian situation is worsening as a result of these practices.
